SPRING IS UPON US, so let's look at what is trendy right now and get inspiration to gal up!
Remember that gyaru fashion does not need to be expensive! We super-recommend checking out your local thrift shops, thrift websites (Fril, Mercari, Depop, Vinted) by searching for these or similar items!

🌺 TRENDS
1) Colour Comeback!
Pantone might have chosen white as their shade of the year, but some COLOUR is coming back this season! Brands have introduced sky blue, aquamarine, mint green, butter yellow into their new releases and our suggestion is to grab this opportunity to push the trend further!!
We are especially obsessed with aquamarine, a beautiful light turquoise, blue-green colour! Its sparkly and fresh, reminding us of dolphin symphonies and summer holidays ahead!
Handbags and accessories are the perfect way to introduce this trend to your wardrobe! From robin-egg blue to turquoise, there's a wide shade range to choose from!
2) Prints Galore!
Has the floral curse been broken? 👜👠 Polka dots are everywhere this season! This dainty, fresh pattern is both elegant and playful!
Another fun pattern that might suit edgier styles are stripes! Hollister has been hitting our 2000s nostalgia hard by relaunching their original Henley tops in both polka dots and stripes! Contrasting colours make this trend super fun... our favourite combinations are red/grey, blue/grey and brown/mint!
Another print that of course isn't ever out for gyaru is animal print!
3) Capris
If you needed further proof that fashion is cyclical, here are capris back with a vengeance!
We can't wait to wear ours with baby-doll tops and platform sandals!
5) Slouchy Footwear
Last Fall-Winter we already spoke about slouchy footwear and the comeback of legwarmers... a trend that is now evolving towards the warmer months with open toe shoes and other fun combinations!
