Welcome to the September edition of GalPOP! Here’s what we have for this month's news roundup!

1) Rady closes its doors after 18 years

Not another one!! Onee and Ageha-associated gyaru brand, Rady, suddenly announced that it was closing its doors and ceasing operations on September 3rd. Headed by ex-egg model, Shizuka Muto, Rady began in 2008 and was renowned for their distinctive floral, marble print designs and elevated loungewear. They were one of the few true lifestyle brands, selling not just women's clothing but also accessories for the home, children's wear and even men's underwear, yes also in the iconic floral designs.

No official reason for its closure has been released, but we can guess that Shizuka and her team had decided to dip out while they’re still on top. We’re sending luck to Shizuka in whatever new business venture she pursues next!

2) Yukipoyo drops Tagalog version of Tetegyaru

Gyaru talent, Yukipoyo, has teamed up with rising Filipina rapper, Zae, for a Tagalog remix of her recent first single, Tetegyaru.

The video has been reshot with Yuki and Zae in the Philippines with production and styling by an all-Filipino team. Why the remix? Yuki is half Filipina on her mothers side and mum, Michelle, is a staple character on her Youtube channel. The remix is a blend of Tagalog and English and has new bars by Zae and honestly it slaps even harder than the original. Give your support to both girlies!!

3. GAL zombies appear at USJ in time for Halloween

It’s Halloween Horror Night season at themepark, Universal Studios Japan! Running from September 11th to November 8th, you can join in the 15th annual Halloween-themed celebrations where they’ve teamed up with popular horror IPs like Resident Evil and the Ring to bring all kinds of spooky rides, dance shows, interactive experiences and most importantly, horror actors. This year, a troupe of gyaru zombies are part of the character crew and were seen ATTACKING and KILLING PEOPLE before bursting into a full on dance routine to King Gnu’s ‘So Bad’. TERRIFYING.

We’d say HIBI readers won’t need to worry about zombies trying to eat you since you’d be mistaken for their own, but the event is super popular and you can’t even get tickets for it now. BOOO!! We’ll be trying again next year.

4. Yuchopa releases MORE products in her Kurogyaru makeup line.

Last month we spoke about popular GAL Youtuber, Yuchopa, teaming up with cosmetics and lens brand, Hotel Lovers for a line of Kurogyaru makeup products. In early October, Yurage will be dropping the second part of the collection, including an eyeshadow pallet, a blush and contour and two styles of bottom lashes in addition to their previous drop of a foundation, pressed powder, lip shades and white eye crayon!
